A few weeks back, I announced via Twitter that I’m doing a collaboration with burgeoning fashion brand, Raoul. And I’m really excited to share with everyone the fruits of our labor. Raoul’s recent foray into menswear takes inspiration from the classic 90′s where you see a lot of designs focus on clean lines to a modern day interpretation of Luxury sportswear by playing with fabrics and color. Known for creating men’s fashion in its classic and purest form – this season plays it up a bit with a lot of playful and well-put experimentation. You’ll see in the collection a lot of bright color accents strategically placed on a classic shirt or the brilliant play in fabric combinations & layering vis-a-vis color blocking on their suits and shirts or even the play of lines and color on knits.

It is in the finer details of Raoul’s 2012 Menswear Spring-Summer collection that I have decided on the idea of opposites – classic fashion juxtaposed into avant garde couture – all set within the context of moving forward into futurism. And in time for the upcoming celebration of the anniversary of my blog, I’ve taken the task of styling several pieces from Raoul’s Cruise and Spring-Summer 2012 Menswear into a capsule collection I have dubbed INDUSTRIAL YIN YANG.

The above collage is but a teaser to whet your appetites on this collection I have styled. Over the next 9 days [including today] leading to a.Fasione’s anniversary, I will be releasing individual or paired shots with short commentaries on each look – so do watch out for that. Also, do keep an eye out for my coverage of the Raoul Fall-Winter 2012 Women’s collection and watch out for my live Tweets from the show.

P.S: Make sure you all watch this space in the next few days as I’ll have a few goodies for my avid readers in celebration of my blog’s anniversary!
