A month or 2 ago, Hermés had an exhibit showcasing a collection of their infamous scarves and boy did I want me some of them! Gorgeous silk, unique and striking patterns – sheer art in motion. Makes you want to have one of your own. My favorite has got to be that floral print with the blue and white border – just gorgeous! What’s yours?
It seems like we’re at a crossroads dearest fasioneistas. Rumors have been rampant. Fasioneistas have been frantic. The final vestiges of iconic Yves Saint Laurent pieces, which we thought would be kept intact by new designer Hedi Slimane, are about to bid adieu.
A few days ago, I was at the Saint Laurent shop and an SA informed me that the few remaining pieces from the YSL will be discontinued in the coming months. Seems as if by fall-winter they won’t even see the light of day. You should see how frantic buyers have been going in and out of the shops, grabbing the last few pieces that they can before it all is gone. Personally, I’m not too sure if I’ll be sad about it or not – considering I’m in love with the Saint Laurent spring-summer collection. But truth be told, I think a lot of YSL fans will be disappointed and will for sure be moving on from the label’s franchise given the changes that have been made. What are your thoughts fasioneistas? Well, if you are one of those who are in love with the YSL collection better hurry and grab these pieces – while you still can.
These videos are just too adorable not to feature. Check out the latest campaign of Hermés featuring some of their beloved fashion pieces. J’adore!!
This has got to be one of the more abstract videos of the bunch but it still a good glimpse into the accessories we can expect from & Other Stories when they launch this coming SS2013.
From what we can gather from the video, there’s going to be a lot of shiny, sparkling pieces. If the inspiration from the video is any indication as well, they should have a timeless and almost old world quality and feel to it. Well I guess we’ll find out more cum spring next year. For now, we’ll have to settle with the bits and bobs from these teaser videos. You know what they should call these videos? I’ll Tease You with Other Stories lol!
Gucci has been on a roll lately. Celebrities everywhere have been spotted either sporting gorgeous Gucci couture or toting Gucci bags. Well, look no further cause Gucci‘s latest celebrity ambassador lives close to home. Li Bingbing – famous Chinese songstress and actress – was spotted at the Beijing airport wearing HTT [head to toe] Gucci and thank God it wasn’t in a tacky way!
She wore this luscious pair of Gucci tan and black printed calf hair loafers with gold horsebit detail and carried a FW2012 black brocade large Soft Stirrup Bag. Check out the gorgeous top-stitching and gold stirrup detail!
And as if to prove a point that these weren’t enough Gucci on her, she was also toting a Black GG Leather Carry-On Luggage with black leather trim and an Interlocking Watch pink gold with stainless steel and brown crocodile strap. Oh wait there’s more, don’t forget the Gucci Silver Horsebit Contraire White Horn Ring. What did I say? Gucci HTT!
Ok, they just made a video that makes me want to own one.
I’m seeing white. All white. ZOMG!
It seems as if since Karl Lagerfeld’s standalone collection launched a few season’s ago, collar accessories became an instant hit and must haves. And this season is no different. In fact, I think this season, designers are taking it to a whole new level and I am loving it!
I am in love with the maestro Karl’s rendition of collars this season. They’re just uber fab – especially that piece in all white with black lace and silver tip. Miu Miu and Marni’s attempts are not as bad either. Marni’s I think are perfect for winter, whilst Miu Miu created something that will definitely transcend seasons to come. 3.1. Phillip Lim crafted collars that may seem simple, but simplicity is the best form of fashion!
These accessories are perfect as they allow versatility and they are perfect pieces to spruce up outfits. I’ve been deep in contemplation on which piece to take for this season as the options are as numerous as they are amazing. What about you? Which one are you going to gun for?
As I was at Atelier Pour Homme for the event Diamond Walker held last Saturday, I was fortunate enough to spot the launch of Anti Utopia here in Singapore.
Shirts of varied styles and designs from this Thai design powerhouse are now available here, but I think what caught my eye the most would be these amazing collars. I was told that these are meant to go with the shirts that have acrylic collar ends; nonetheless I thought they could spruce up any old shirt. I just love the varied options available – from the stingray pieces to the Louboutin inspired ones. I couldn’t help but bring home a piece for myself.
